On to this week’s Sunday Seven

1. What I’m thinking about Caitlin Clark declaring to go to the WNBA…

Clark, the most exhilarating player in college basketball, announced she would bypass her last season of eligibility at Iowa and enter the WNBA Draft. She will, of course, be the top pick and go to the Indiana Fever, who immediately pounced on the news with social media posts inviting fans to start buying tickets, as they will go fast.

Clark’s decision is the WNBA’s gain and college basketball’s loss.

Brandt’s Stance: Some have remarked that Clark would make more money staying at Iowa due to the prodigious amounts of NIL money she has been making and would continue to make if she stayed another year. Well, NO.
