Welcome to The Daily Dose for Friday, July 11, 2025. I’m enjoying a great summer day outside, and wanted to share a few thoughts on something we’ve been tracking all week: the changing landscape of the NBA salary cap.
Earlier this week, we looked at the Damian Lillard stretch provision and how it resembled NFL-style dead money. Today, I want to build on that with a deeper look at how the cap affects a team that’s currently doing everything right—the Oklahoma City Thunder.
