Thanks for the kind comments I got from some of you about what I experienced last week—not even being around Villanova Law, which starts this week—but hearing from so many staff, friends, and colleagues who were there hiding under desks during an active shooter alert. It turned out to be a cruel hoax that was happening around the country last Thursday. It was startling, and certainly much more so for my colleagues than for me.
