For 15 years, people have asked me when I'm going to write a book. I always had an excuse. I was writing columns, teaching, consulting, writing this newsletter. I hadn't lacked for writing. I'd just lacked for writing a book.

Then one morning, Christmas morning 2023, staying at the Ojai Inn in California, the need to write overcame the resistance not to. I just started. And over the next year, my life spilled out onto the page.

The result is Smarter About Sports, coming July 14 from Triumph Books. It's the full story: David Falk and the Michael Jordan era. Representing Ricky Williams until he left me for Master P.
