Hey guys, welcome to the Daily Dose. It is the 29th, Wednesday, the 29th of January 2025. Still getting used to that. Today, I want to talk about this ongoing dispute, angst, agita - conflict is really the best word - between Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. Jimmy Butler, a star player, the best player on the Miami Heat for many years. A player that took them to the finals, a player that had them over-excel in recent years. He wants out, and this has been an ongoing issue for a couple months, where they've had one suspension, they've had two suspensions, and now we have a third suspension and this one is indefinite. So, there was a five-game, I believe. There was a two-game. Now, it's an indefinite suspension. Basically, in so many words, he's being a pain in the butt to the Miami Heat. He's not showing up for planes. He's not coming to practice. He's being a royal pain in the you know what, and they are done with him. And he wants out. And so, I think a lot of people look at these situations and say, "Yeah, why doesn't that happen?" Well, that's the problem. There are a lot of limiting factors, especially with the NBA cap and especially with leverage. Let me explain.
