Yes, the great Luka Dončić and the Lakers have gone down in five games to the seventh-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves. Let’s unpack this. The Lakers went out in the first round last year with Anthony Davis, and here they are again—first-round exit, this time 4-1 to the Timberwolves, even with Luka.

Now, here's where I take an unpopular stance: maybe—just maybe—the Lakers’ blockbuster trade for Luka Dončić wasn’t the greatest trade of all time. Let me explain.
