The NFL trading deadline had some real activity this year, punctuated by shrewd moves from a moribund franchise, and a player not connected to the trade is the big winner. Baseball ended its season in the most dramatic fashion, with labor pains ahead. There’s a big breakup in the sports betting marketplace, the hits keep coming for the LA Clippers, another “Battle of the Sexes” is on its way, and I predict the big Monday Night Football matchup tomorrow night.
