An NFL scout told me something recently that would have been unthinkable five years ago: NIL is wiping out the third day of the draft.

Players who would have entered the draft are staying in college — because the money is better. There are Power Four rosters with seven or eight players making over a million dollars. A Day 3 pick makes a few hundred thousand in bonus money and isn't even guaranteed a roster spot. In college, you've already made the team.

Ty Simpson was reportedly offered $6.5 million to stay at Miami. He might not make that in the NFL.

In today's Daily Dose — with the draft starting this week — I break down where the NFL-vs-NIL tipping point actually is, why it's moving up the draft board, and what this means for the teams counting on late-round talent to build their rosters.
