Sad day for journalism...

Hey guys, welcome to the Daily Dose. It is Thursday, February 5th, 2026.

So much going on. We're in Super Bowl Week, but that really gets hot and heavy this weekend. But I want to talk about a media event that happened a couple days ago — and this is probably a little more personal because of where I grew up and what I experienced with the newspaper.

The Washington Post, bought by Jeff Bezos a few years ago, just laid off 300 people. That includes, I believe, the entire — or at least the majority — of the sports staff.
