The Bill Belichick snub

Hey there, welcome to Daily Dose. It is January 29th, 2026.

Much in the news the past 24 hours we're going to talk about right now is Bill Belichick.

Belichick, as you remember, has gone through not one but two NFL head coach hiring cycles with little, scant interest—maybe some interest a year ago with, or two years ago now I guess, with the Atlanta Falcons, where he lost out to Raheem Morris, who's now fired. They have a new coach.

And it's basically like three hiring cycles. So he's not part of the NFL—that's one thing. But this is a little bit beyond the pale where he is not selected as a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer.

And the outrage is full out there with fans and media.
