As we remember from a Daily Dose a couple weeks ago, the deals were done and are done. The deals are on the NBA's desk: Amazon, NBC, Disney totaling $76 billion over eleven years. Stunning increase, especially in light of one of the lowest-rated NBA finals, coming off that. But there's a twist. TNT, owned by Warner Brothers Discovery, which has been part of the NBA since 1989, was said to be out. Of course, they have one year left on the existing deal, so it would be a year from now, but maybe not. Not so fast.
